Destination Byron Annual Tourism Symposium 2016

Destination Byron held the annual Tourism Symposium last Friday at the new Elements Of Byron Resort. Participants got to experience the lovely new conference facilities, whilst being addressed by interesting keynote speakers. These included John O’Sullivan from Tourism Australia, who discussed Tourism Australia’s strategic and creative direction. Stuart Ayres the New South Wales minister for Trade, Tourism & Major Events talked about the State of Play in Tourism. Chris Mills, the CEO of Queensland Airports LTD gave the audience a product and industry update. Later in the day workshops were held with topics ranging from Tourism branding and digital marketing to growing your membership.
